James Paling

Owner of the Paling's Family Fun Centre (Playland Park) in Brockville, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 24, 2015 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband for 50 years to Darlene Paling. Loving father of Charlene Paling of Toronto and the late Catherine Boissoneau (2010). Dear grandfather of Crystal Rose and Alexander Boissonneau. Brother of Evelyn Nys of Winnipeg. Brother-in-law of Shirley Lorenz and her husband Tom Clissold. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. For nearly 25 years, James and Darlene operated the Fun Centre, where James considered himself to be living his dream to provide a safe and entertaining environment to the community. In the off season they enjoyed time spent in Florida on Hutchinson Island.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, Toronto, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Sunday February 1, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation in the funeral chapel beginning at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
