Janet Harrison

HARRISON, Janet Ellen (nee Grayson)-After a courageous battle with leukemia, died on January 13, 2003, at the age of 73, at York Central Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of 51 years to Chuck, devoted mother and mother-in-law to Barbara (John), Cathy (Dave) and Nancy (Derrick). Cherished grandmother to Gareth, Adam and Amanda. Loving daughter of Phoebe Grayson and dear sister to Norma Trebett (Jim) of Nanaimo, B.C. Predeceased by her father Thomas Grayson of Moose Jaw. Janet will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her three nephews, cousins and many friends. Valued volunteer of over 20 years at the North York General Hospital Gift Shop. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Minden and the nursing teams of 14A and the Transfusion Unit at Princess Margaret Hospital. The family will receive friends at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Thursday January 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held in the chapel on Friday January 17 at 11 a.m. if desired, donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, or the Leukemia Research Fund of Canada.
