Jean Murphy

Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at North York General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Daniel, her daughter, Kathleen (Allan), and her grandsons Liam, Brady, and Cody. She is also survived by her siblings, Larry and Margaret (Jag), and her nephews Kevin and Trevor, and countless other loved ones.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Catherine Elizabeth and Lawrence Barrie.

She was a devoted grandmother and an avid reader. She loved quilting, especially for the babies that came into her family’s life. She was recently awarded a Community Blooms award for her beautiful garden.

Dan and Kathleen would like to thank (Aunt) Patty for her unwavering love and support, and acknowledge the special care she received at North York General Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 30, 2019 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street North York, from 10 – 11 am, with a Memorial Service beginning in the Chapel at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or North York General Hospital.
