BAKER, Joan Ariel (nee Cotie) Passed peacefully at York Central Hospital on December 10th, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of the late Walter George Baker. Loving mother of Bryan, Douglas, Glenn and Diana (Mark Matheson). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jonathan, Kimberly, Thomas and Jack. The family wishes to thank all of the professionals and friends who cared for mom with dignity and kindness through her times of need. Friends may call on Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Bayview Country Club (25 Fairway Heights Drive, Thornhill, Ontario). As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or North York General Hospital.
