Peacefully, on Tuesday August 12, 2008 at Gibson Long Term Care in her 80th year. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Magee for 54 years. Loving mother of Warren (Joanne), Audrey, Mark (Terry), Brian (Libby) and George. Cherished "Nana" to Ryan, Sarah, Matthew, Lisa, Chloe, Krista, Shelby, Simon and Rose. Survived by her brother Charlie (Ruth) Taylor and sisters Peggy Taylor and Amy Grills. Joan will be missed and lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Friends may visit on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Chapel on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 11 o'clock. Cremation. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
