Joan Forde

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Joan Forde, peacefully on Sunday, September 1st at Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Jack Forde and survived by her 2 sons David and Brian and their wives Heather and Pennie. Loved and adored Grandma to Jeremy, Jake, Kaylea and James, a super proud Great Grandma of Jeremy and Liz's son Jack. Also survived by her loving brother John and his wife Sylvia and family of Nepean.

Joan led a life full of friends, family, kindness and charitable works. Always extending a helping hand to whoever needed it.

Joan enriched the lives of everyone she knew, from her family to the lifelong and devoted friends and family of all the original gang of Don Mills. Joan will forever be missed.

A memorial service will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral home 6150Yonge Street (at Goulding, South of Steeles Ave.), Sunday September 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Grove Park Home, Barrie.
