Passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at North York General Hospital at the age of 38. Much loved daughter of Sal and Rose. Loving sister of Carole and her husband Eddie and Catherine. Caring granddaughter of Philip Neglia. Niece of Vince and Marie, Joe and Jan, and Josephine and Barry. Beloved aunt of Maya and Sabrina. Predeceased by her grandparents Rocco and Vincenza Lasita and Marie Neglia. Joanne will be fondly remembered by her many cousins. Her angelic presence will be missed by her friends and teachers at Gooderham Developmental Centre. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the Critical Care Unit at North York General Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd (21 Simonston Blvd.). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
