John Cresswell

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in his 68th year.  John, beloved husband of Phyllis Ianni.  Loving father of Ashleigh and her husband Neil Gough, Mark and his wife Marla Huffman, Paul Madott and his wife Carita Valentini and Kelly and her husband John Clegg.  Adoring Papa of Matthew, Jane, Samantha, Sawyer, Nathan and Victoria.  Predeceased by his parents Jack and Clara Cresswell and Ken and Norma Marchment.  Dear brother-in-law of Mary Ann and Rocky Phillips, Onorio and Luisa Ianni, Betti and Greg Fairley, Anthony Ianni, David Allen and Barry Fuller.  Loving brother of Jo-Marie and her husband Larry McAfee, Michael and his wife Deborah Marchment, Paul Marchment and the late Susan Fuller and Patricia Allen.  John will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  He was an avid golfer, had a love of photography, was full of life and always saw the best in people. Thank you to Dr. Srikala Sridhar, Dr. Charles Catton, both of Princess Margaret Hospital, Dr. Albert Kirshen from The Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care and the staff at Hill House Hospice for their compassionate care of John.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26th from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, February 27th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 3220 Bayview Avenue (north of Finch, west side).  Private cremation to follow.  Donations may be made to SickKids Foundation, The Terry Fox Foundation or the Hill House Hospice in John's memory.
