After a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by family, Jack passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at North York General Hospital in his 88th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Val and his son Robert. Loving father of Candy and her husband Roy Smith. Proud Poppa of Amber (Michael) and Bryden (Laurie). Survived by his sister Joan (Peter) Parent, sister-in-law Audrey Graham, and his nieces and nephews. Jack will be fondly remembered by his large circle of friends and extended family. He was a longtime member of Kroy Lodge #676 G.R.C. A.F. & A.M., Thornhill. There will forever be a spot at the Judge's Stand on Rankin Lake, Parry Sound. Friends may call on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
