Passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at York Central Hospital at the age of 90. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bob. Loving mother of Douglas, Margaret (Gerald) Roche, Nancy, and Sandra. Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Samantha, Kendall, Marty, and Rhona and great-grandmother of Hayden, Wesley and Nicholas. Dear daughter of the late Peter and the late Eleanor Nekechuk. Josephine was a strong union supporter and retired after many years of service with CUPE and UAW. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. & Monday, June 11, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
