Karl Pinteric

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Pinteric on Friday, August 9th, 2013 at Sunnybrook Hospital. Survived by his loving wife Anna. Karl was the cherished father of Charles, Annie and Wendy (Tom). 'Da', as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren Daniel and Marcel. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. In Slovenia Karl is survived by his sister Mima and many loving nieces and nephews. Born Oct 13, 1927 in Bizejlsko Slovenia, he immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his wife. In his retirement years he enjoyed gardening, playing cards and baline (bocce ball). Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at North York General & Sunnybrook Hospitals, especially Dr Desmond Leung. Visitation will take place at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Monday August 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9. p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians, 611 Manning Ave on Tuesday August 13th at 10a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St., Thornhill. In memory of Karl, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
