Leonard John Sullivan

Peacefully on Sunday August 17, 2008 at North York General Hospital in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Thompson) for 56 years. Loving father to Diane Sutherland, the late John, Debbie (Stephen Dunn), Paul (Rowan Amott), the late Mark, Andrea (Terry Killackey) and Marlane (Tom Ormesher). Cherished grandfather to: Kerry, Emily and Allison Dunn: Courtney and Kaleigh Sutherland: Tieghan, Keenan, Kyla and Connor Killackey: Jillian and Ian Sullivan: Lindsay, Dylan and Samantha Ormesher.

Jack graduated from St. Michael's College School, St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto and University of Toronto Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Centre in New York City and returned to Toronto where he practiced medicine and was Chief of Urology for many years at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto.

Jack had a love for thoroughbred racehorses and spent many years enjoying his passion at Woodbine and Fort Erie Racetracks.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Passionist Parish (670 Sheppard Avenue East - please turn onto Hawksbury Drive from Sheppard and right on to Elkorn Drive to enter church), on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Interment, Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
