Margaret Shaw

SHAW, Margaret Alice - Born in 1911 in Chesley, Ontario. Margaret passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2003, at the North York General Hospital Seniors Health Centre. Daughter of the late John and Alice (Gunn) Sinclair, (a Barnardo orphan). Lovingly remembered by her sons Dr. Ralph (June) and John (Ilga); sisters Mary Reid (the late Frank) and Jean Roblin (Ted); grandchildren, Susan Girvan, Laura Shaw-Robertson (Mike), Andrew Shaw, Sarah Dougald (Rob) and Barbara Shaw as well as 3 great grandchildren, Siobhan and Richard Girvan and Ainsley Dougald. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Gordon (1963), her son Douglas (2002) and his wife Joan (1995) and 5 of her siblings. Friends may call at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, may 1, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Royal York Road, Toronto, Ontario. Donations to the North York General Hospital Foundation/Seniors' Health Centre would be gratefully appreciated by the family. We would like to thank the dedicated staff at the Seniors' Health Centre for the care and kindness shown throught Margaret's 16 months at the Centre.
