Marie Skelly

Passed away suddenly at home on March 27, 2013 at the age of 84.

Beloved wife of the late PJ. Loving mother of Catherine (Paul), Mary Lou (Chris), Margaret (Paul), Brian (Sarah) and Patricia (Mark). Proud Nana of Marc and Andra (Michael) Striowski, Kelly, Christopher and Michael Baxter, Sean (Synar) and Ali Keenan, Megan and Matthew Skelly and Kiera Telesnicki. Great grandmother of Emma Keenan. Step Nana of Lauren and Zan Gallant, Teagan and Hayleigh Telesnicki. Predeceased by brother Bert and sister Anna (Bernie). Survived by her siblings George and Helen (Chuck), sister in law Dorothy and many nieces and nephews.

She lived a full and healthy life at the Gazebo in Thornhill, playing bridge, doing Tai Chi and aquafit, and playing golf as a member of The Ladies Golf Club of Toronto. She will be missed by her many friends.

Friends may call on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (39 Green Lane). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Ministries or Out of the Cold.
