Marion Martindale

Passed away peacefully in her 93rd year on February 14, 2015 at St. Michael's Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Allan. Loving mother of her children Doug, Bob (Pat), Gerald, and Beverley (Jack Drew). Dear grandmother of Nathan (Karen), Tanissa, Chris, Mark, Kevin (Sheila), and Brendan, and great-grandmother of Sierra. Lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Margaret Lishman, Pat and Irene Martindale, and by many Martindale and Bellinger nieces and nephews. Active member of Thornhill United Church, life member of Thornhill Horticultural and Garden Society and long-time member of Richmond Hill Naturalists (particularly active in the Botany Group). Marion enjoyed working part-time at a florist shop in Thornhill and later at the Kortright Conservation Area. For the past few years she volunteered with the Social Committee at Annswell Court Seniors' Residence. Family and friends are invited to visit at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial service will be held at Thornhill United Church (25 Elgin St. at Dudley Ave., Thornhill, 905-889-2131) on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11am.
