It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Max Hoepli on September 27, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Frieda (nee Christen) for 56 years. Loving Dadda of Max Jr., Maya (George) and Monika (Mike). Cherished Grossvati of Lilian, Christina, Hanna, Martin and Shawn. Born in the small farming village of Aadorf, Switzerland on March 4, 1926, the son of Ernst and Bertha (nee Rueger), the forth of five children. A butcher by trade, Max came to Canada in June 1954 from Sweden after working there for three years. He came to Toronto and soon started his own business, Swiss-Canadian Delicatessen at 1622 Bloor Street West that prospered for 16 years. In 1971 the family moved to Willowdale and there he became a real estate agent for A. Willi Real Estate and later for Moose Realty Ltd. A private family service to be held.
