Nick Longo

In the loving comfort of his own home Nick passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Devoted husband of 56 years to Evelyn (nee Aguanno), supportive and loving father of Michael (Anne), Rosemary (John Ozols) and Joann (Greg Jones). Proud gramps to Cathy, Michael and David Longo, Nicole and Kyle Ozols and Liam, Holden and Derek Jones. Dear brother of Frances Turco of California and her family. Predeceased by his mother Rose Longo (nee Lanzarotta) and sister Rose Longo-Smith. Nick will be warmly remembered for his kind and generous ways by his many friends and family, especially Newmarket Toyota. A true Torontonian always lending a helping hand to anyone who crossed his path. A very special thank you to his dedicated care givers Emmie Montalba, Pinky Amor Suan, and Andreya Brooks. Also special thanks to the wonderful support network Anne Marie Burlton (CCAC), Pat Miller (Southlake Hospital), Georgina Mercouris, Sharon McKnight and Dr. Mandough. By Nicks side constantly through this journey were Peter Principe, cousin Rosemary Reilly, sisters-in-law Anne and Jenny and far tooo many nieces, nephews and friends to mention. Nicks indomitable spirit will continue to dance in heaven. We love you Dad! Visitation will be held on Friday March 11th from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 12th at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery with reception to follow.
