Although I did not have the privilege of meeting Nick, from the many tributes he sounds like a very special person and a wonderful husband and father. May the cherished memories that you have of your days together give you comfort and soon replace the loss you are going through at this time of sorrow.

Greetings on this sad occasion, I first met Nick when he was a student at the University of Toronto. But my special memories of him are from more recent times as he and I both did volunteer work for the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering. Nick was a very proud civil engineer who contributed much to his profession and to the Society. I will miss you, Nick, but will remember with pleasure your warmth and kindnesses. I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family of Nick. I am a student in his Wednesday night class at Ryerson. I am still in shock over his passing. I know he was a gentle family man, for he often used examples from his family life in class. He was extremely proud to mention to the class that he married his highschool sweetheart, and was happy to share with us her recent heroics. I shall always remember him when I "question to the void". Dear Angie, Jennifer, Lauren, and Stephanie, We had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Nick during the planning and execution of the ACI 2000 convention in Toronto. Nick chaired the co-ordinating committee and was affectionately known to each of us as "Captain Canada". He was a great leader of our team and we had numerous enjoyable times meeting together many years before the event. We remember a session in our home in Niagara Falls where our group stuffed bags for conference attendees after enjoying a meal together. Please know we are thinking of you during this very sad time. What a loss for each of you. Nick always talked affectionately about each of you and will now be watching over you from his heavenly home. He was a man of deep faith and love for his family. To the Bada Family, I have been fortunate enough to have had Nick as my manager for the last three years. It was only this passed Thursday when I last spoke to him, sharing laughs (or what I called his Hyena laughs), as always! Dear Mrs. Lamonaca-Bada. I started working for Hydro back in 1997 and on occasions I dealt with Nick. During my high school days at St. Basil's (1985) you went by Lamonaca-Bada but unfortunately I never made the connection until today. Looking back, you both shared the same funny and bubbly personality. I am sorry for your loss. He will be truly missed. His wonderful personality and sense of humour, will always remain with us. I was dismayed and shocked to hear that Nick had passed away. I feel privileged to have worked with Nick. He was not only dedicated, but his enthusiasm and sense of humor were absolutely contagious.
