Olive Lobraico

Passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Friday, April 9, 2004. The Lobraico family announces the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Affectionately known as Olivia. Cherished wife of Michael for 58 years. Predeceased by her parents, Albert Gardner and Nora Lewis, and sisters Isobel Gardner and Rita Dougaherty. Beloved sister of Bernadette, Casey and Wilf Gardner. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her 5 daughters: Marie and husband the late William Hagerty of Ajax, Nora and husband Paul Sullivan of Thornhill, Rose and husband Norman Locking of Sharon, Michele and husband Gregory Perkell of Toronto, and daughter Kathie of Toronto. Proud Nana of Michael-Paul, Nicole, Christopher, Kate, Justin, Anne, Nicholas, and Andrew. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews in Ontario and the USA. Devoted friend and faithful correspondant to many. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Fr. William Burn, Dr. Stella Arbitman, Sheila Gallivan and Amini Ladhani for their compassionate care of Mom. Friends may call on Monday, April 12 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass in celebration of Olivia's life will be on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 12 o'clock at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church (39 Green Lane off Bayview Ave., north of John St. in Thornhill). If desired, donations may be made in Olivia's name to Hospice Thornhill, Canadian Cancer Society or St. Luke's Church Renewal Project.
