It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear Mom, Pauline Pearce, on July 30, 2024, at the age of 89, at Mackenzie Health Palliative Care. Born in Willenhall, England, Pauline had many an adventure before settling in Willowdale in 1967.
Pauline has been reunited, in heaven, with her parents Arthur and Emma Callear and dear sisters Helen (Abe) (Michael – nephew) Price, Patricia (Ron) Matin and her dear companion, Desmond Williams.
She was deeply loved by and will be missed by her daughters, Dierdre and Maureen, her nieces, Sheen (Josh and Mark) Clift, Carol (Steven) O’Hara.
Pauline will be remembered for her kindness and compassion toward others and her joy of gardening. It was always amazing how she nurtured struggling flowers to bloom and grow. Her love of dancing made her never afraid to be the first one out on the dance floor. She would give the rest of us a lesson as to how it should be done.
Pauline will forever and deeply be missed by all those who knew her, both family and friends.
God Saw You
God saw you getting tired
when a cure was not to be.
So, He wrapped his arms around you
and whispered, “Come to me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through
so He gave you rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
And when I saw you sleeping
so peaceful and free from pain,
I could not wish you back
to suffer that again.
The Star
A light went out on Earth for me
The day we said goodbye.
And on that day a star was born,
The brightest in the sky.
Reaching through the darkness
With its rays of purest white,
Lighting up the heavens
As it once lit up my life.
With beams of love to heal
The broken heart you left behind
Where always in my memory
Your lovely star will shine.
