

Phillip Gerald Anderson passed on January 28, 2016 at North York General Hospital. Born July 10, 1927 in Edmonton, predeceased by parents Walter and Doris and by his wife Diane. Phil is survived by his children, Reid, Dana and Craig (Mary); three grandchildren, Colin and Trevor Anderson and Daryll Breau (Miles Hooper), one great-grandchild, Olcott Hooper and three brothers, Jack (Vivian), Gary (Diane) and Kent Judy); as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Phil founded Arc Sound Company in 1959, later known as AHED. Arc Sound was instrumental in launching the careers of many Canadian musicians and known for its Yorkville record label. Phil was passionate about eating healthy, organic farming at the family farm in Stouffville, sailing in the British Virgin Islands and The Course in Miracles, of which he was a student and leader for nearly 40 years.
Cremation has taken place. As per Phil’s wishes there will be no service. A remembrance of Phil for family and friends will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation. Condolences www.rskane.ca
