Ralph Howie

Q.C.-Peacefully, following a brief illness with his chidren at his side on Friday, October 29, 2004 at the Toronto General Hospital in his 77th year. Ralph, beloved husband of the Late Diane Howie (2003). Loving father to Gayle Laki (Jack), Susan McDowell (Steven) and Brock (Phillippa). Cherished Grandad of Scott, Patrick, Jenna, Julia, Maxwell and Mitchell. Ralph will be missed dearly and fondly remembered by his brothers Ken (Ruth), Barry (Mary Jane), by his close family Derek (Gretchen) Ward, Earl (Mary Ellen) Howie, Charles and Audrey Brown, John and Morleen Bousfield, Rev. David and Jean Boufield, Edward and Joyce Bousfield aned by his many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Ralph joined the law firm of Thomson Rogers while still in law school, and following his call to the Bar in 1957 he became a partner in 1958. Over the next 42 years, he was one of the key builders of the firm while he devoted himself to excellence in the practice of litigation law, retiring in 2000. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and Monday 7 - 9 pm. Call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles. Funeral Service will be held at St. John's York Mills Angilcan Church (19 Don Ridge Rd., Toronto, on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2004 at 1:30 pm.
