

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Marjorie (Russ Aylward), daughters Ann Bell (Thomas) and Audrey Davies (Alan) of Peterborough, and son David Harris (Sheila) of Toronto, stepson David Aylward (Robyn) of Oakville and stepdaughter Linda Weir (Bob) of Thornhill, and grandchildren Andrew, Kate, Stephanie, Janine, Gordon, Jamie, Christopher and David.
Predeceased by his first wife Elva (Sutherland), his parents Thomas Harris and Florence Young, and his brothers Geoffrey and Philip.
Born in Edmonton, Dick was a chemical engineer and lifelong oilman, working for BA and then Gulf Oil in Edmonton, Moose Jaw and Toronto. Dick was a man of many interests. He was a world traveller, an avid golfer, curler, cross country skier, bridge player, crossword enthusiast & enjoyed life to its fullest.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday June 8, 2009 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles.)
