Robert (Bob) Weishar

September 17, 1952-December 14, 2015

Robert (Bob) passed away after a long illness. Bob had a long successful career as a Federal Government Employee, recently on long term disability. Beloved son of Andrew Weishar and pre-deceased Ruth Rainboth. He will be sorely missed by his brothers David and his wife Nancy (Montreal), Gerald and his wife Frances (Whitby), Michael and his wife Laurie (Calgary) and his sister Kathleen (Collingwood). He will also be missed by step-mother Maureen Morris, step-sisters Bernadet Rachele and Christine Racicot. He was a rabid sports fan, enjoyed skiing and golf. His family is grateful to the support he received from Sunnybrook and North York General Emergency Room staffs. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17th from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 18th at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Passionist Parish, 670 Sheppard Avenue East (east of Bayview, north side). Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Credit, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnybrook Foundation or North York General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
