On May 9, 2024, Bob Fitzsimons passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, with his family by his side. Bob was a loving husband to Carolyn (deceased 2020) for 38 years. He is survived by his children, Erin (Jason), Ryan, Kris, Shelly (Eric), Steve. Loving brother to Sue (Jimmy), Ruth (Patrick). Proud grandfather to Mac, Olive, Logan, Sean, Zack; great grandfather to Kylie. Uncle to Ezra, Jo, Dana, Alex. Grateful thanks for all visits and well wishes from friends and family. Special thanks to Dr. Selby and staff for exceptional care at Sunnybrook's Palliative Care Unit. Bob loved spending time with his friends and family, tending to his beautiful garden, watching the birds and chatting with neighbours. We'll miss his lovely smile, warm heart and acts of kindness to everyone he met. In lieu of flowers/funeral services, and to honor Bob's character, we ask that all who wish to participate donate to a charity of their choice from the below list he contributed to.
