Ryan Peter Posidis-Kowalski, beloved son to (Effie/Tom), brother to (Sarah), grandson to (Eleutheria/Panayiotis) and (Babcia Nina), nephew to (Viki/Enzo, Georgia/Ilias, Maria/Robert, Billy/Maria), carer to furry friends (Zoey/Zeus), and friend to many, passed away tragically at the age of 20. Ryan's promising journey, characterized by his adventurous spirit and compassionate heart, came to an unexpected end, leaving a void in the lives of all who knew him.
Born with an insatiable thirst for life, Ryan approached every endeavour with unmatched enthusiasm. A dedicated student in the Disaster Management program at York University, he harboured a fervent desire to serve his community as a police officer, driven by an innate sense of duty and justice.
Yet, Ryan was not solely defined by his ambitions; his magnetic personality and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on those around him. Known as the life of the party, he effortlessly brought joy and levity to any gathering, his humour a beacon that illuminated even the darkest of moments. His humongous heart overflowed with kindness, his genuine concern for others touching the lives of many.
An adventurer at heart, Ryan found solace in the great outdoors, where he pursued his passions with unbridled fervour. Whether he was traversing rugged hiking trails, camping, shredding down snowy slopes or cruising on his beloved motorcycle, Ryan embraced every moment with boundless energy and unwavering courage. His zest for life was contagious, inspiring those around him to seize every opportunity and embrace the thrill of the unknown.
Ryan's untimely departure leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and boundless potential. While his physical presence may have departed, his spirit lives on in the cherished memories of those fortunate enough to have known him. May we find solace in the joy he brought to our lives and carry his adventurous spirit forward in all our endeavours.

In place of flowers, we encourage a donation to Algonquin’s beautiful Provincial Park, a place near and dear to Ryan.
Visitation for Ryan will be held on on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-8:00pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill).
A celebration of Life for Ryan will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 10am at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill).
