Santina Maria Barreca

(nee Racioppa)-Passed away peacefully on May 25, 2009 at her home at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Victor and loving mother of Leonard(Elizabeth), Victoria(Edward), Peter(Suzanne), Catherine(Gunter), Eugene(Nancy), Bernadette(Tony) and Annette(Joe). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Rachel, Sarah Rose, Karen(Charles), Christopher(Lisa), David, Jennifer, Jillian, Natalie, Philip and Leandra and great grandchildren Jemma and Andrea. Dear sister of Pat(Betty), Stella(Al), Len(Agnes), Lorraine(Joe), Anthony(Corinne) and predeceased by Rose, Louise(Paul) and Dora(Pierre)."Auntie Sadie" will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Santina gave of herself to all those she touched. Her love of life to the fullest is her legacy to us all. Friends may call on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church(75 Churchill Avenue). Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery . As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation.
