Shirley Copeland

Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the early hours of Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the age of 85 after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Ron McKinley Copeland. Loving mother of Lynn Russell (Brian), Ron (Louise) and Rob. Cherished Nana of Andrew Russell and Taylor Russell (Sarah). Dear sister of Jeanette O'Brien (the late Reg), Floyd McDermid (Joan), Helen Ford (the late Ray) and the late Herb McDermid (Jean) and lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. She was a devoted Nurse for over fifty years, a loving mother and Nana and will be sadly missed by her family and friends and by her children's friends that she has kept in touch with over the years. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment York Cemetery.
