Sophie Zolis

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sophie Zolis (nee Divitcos) on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at North York General Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband Mike and her sons Bill and George. Very loving mother of Jim (Marianne Ratelle) and proud grandmother of Mike (Katie Tiffney) and Layla. Beloved sister of Larry (Donna) Divitcos, the late Louie (Kay) Divitcos. Sister-in-law to Olga (the late Peter Zolis), Elpida (the late Tom Goulios) and Tinka and Tasse Gitsis. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sophie enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing and especially spending time with her family. We will miss her deeply. Friends may call on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (3840 Finch Ave. E.). Interment to follow at York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
