	A year ago today our family was shaken to the core.  Never to be the same again.  It was the day God called you home.  It was an end to your suffering here on earth, yet for us it continues.  Our hearts are broken, never to be mended until we are together once again.  I hope you are at peace, are happy & are watching over us left behind.  I can still feel your presence & see your beautiful smile.  How I miss your great big hugs & bounding laughter & easy going, gentle nature.  I miss you more with each passing day.  You will always be my hero & my inspiration for the kind of person I would like to be.  For the kind of man I hope the boys will become.  You were a man of true integrity.  I carry you with me in my heart forever, Dad.  I wish so much that things could be different.  I love you.

How do I find the words to attempt to honour my dad’s life and thank him for a lifetime of blessings? How can I describe the simple act of his energy lighting up a room? How can I describe his passion for music – the discipline and dedication that would drive him to teach himself three different instruments? How can I count the many things that he has built, from little mechano sets as a kid to his hard work in his career, to a beautiful life with his family and friends? If you ask anyone how they would summarize my Dad, a few key words will always be repeated: brightest eyes, a boundless smile and infectious laughter, gentle demeanor, constant kindness, the sweetest heart, and a sincere friend. Whether he just met someone or had known them for years, Dad would always be willing to lend a helping hand. Always welcoming with a smile, handshake, and that amazing laugh, my Dad has never had a single enemy. A man of true integrity, never willing to step over others to move ahead, he taught Steph and I to be better people and acted as the greatest role model for us. I will always treasure our moments together, Dad. You always put your family first and worked hard to provide for and support us. Thank you for teaching me about unconditional love, compassion, integrity, laughter and music. You and mom shared a special love that will always inspire me – one that was real, honest, eternal, and paved the way for Steph and I to follow. Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me always. You are my hero, a most beloved gift in my life, and the brightest star for me to look up to. Our hearts are truly broken at the thought of a world without your presence, Dad. But your spirit will live on within our hearts, minds, souls and every day actions for all of eternity.

I had 3 Uncle Steve`s.  One I did not see much.  One was single his entire life and never had his own family, and then there was Steve Bradley.  This Uncle Steve was most like me.  I stayed at his and my Aunt`s house in Georgetown many days and weekends in the late seventies and early eighties.  I think I was like a trial child before they had their own.  Those days in Georgetown I remember Steve as being happiest, and why not, he was young, had all he wanted, a nice house, a happy marriage and soon two great little girls with his whole future ahead of him.  The only thing I regret about my friendship with Steve is not having thanked him for those days.  The days that he took the time to show me guitar chords, introduce me to Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin on his reel to reel, took me skiing, and he would talk to me as an equal, despite being twenty years older then me.  Even more then these things just to thank him for being a friend who just happened to also be my Uncle.  I don`t think he would want a thank you anyways, just a beer, shoot the sht, and tell stupid jokes while we listen to Dark side of the Moon.

Had lots of great times with the Bradleys at David Street, Brampton.    Always remember Stephen playing "Wipe out" on the kitchen table.   Good job he didn't try and take up drumming professionally.    Never forget Stephen and Ian enlisting us girls to clean up the house before Mr. and Mrs. Bradley, Yvonne and Dawn came back from a holiday in England. Cheeky beggars.     Those were the days.     God Bless Stephen.

Great memories of Stephen growing up in Brampton in the 60's.  Stephen singing 'Mac the Knife" at as many parties that he could!  Playing drums in his band, toboganning at Heart Lake, Dances at the Orange Hall.  We shall miss you Stephen, lots of love from the Ainsworth Family.

Steve,you will always hold a special place in my childrens eyes. They always loved going to Steve and Monica's for a visit no matter what time of year. He worked with my husband for several years at Wonderland and we would always see him there, having a smile, handshake and kind words to the kids. The most they will remember him for is his "horse" riding on his knee and the song he would sing to him. They still talk about it to this day.
YOU, Steve, were a truly kind person, full of love, honour and respect to your family, friends(young or old). I for one know that this household in Barrie is a better place for being blessed with your friendship. You will be missed but you are now our guardian angel up above watching us until we meet again. I have known Mr. Bradley since I was in grade 6 when his daughter Nikki and I became best friends. Some of my fondest memories from my childhood were spent at Nikki's house where Mr. Bradley would always greet me with a welcoming smile from ear to ear. This wasn't just any smile - it was a smile of compassion, a smile of love and a smile of caring. This was the type of smile that could brighten the darkest room, make any bad day better and calm the most dramatic of teenage conundrums. 

I will never forget the memories Nikki and I made while Mr. Bradley worked at Canada's Wonderland. We would meet him at the employee entrance, always greeted by that bright smile. I remember waiting in his shop for his shift to end or for him to meet us for lunch. Even on the hottest, busiest days of the summer, when I am certain he was inundated with work, he always managed to take time to meet-up with us to share a meal. 

Although I didn't see as much of Mr. Bradley in my adult life as I would have liked, one of my most favourite memories of him was on my wedding day in October 2009. I remember he and Monica looked like a celebrity couple. Mr. Bradley ever so handsome and dapper in his suit and Monica always pulling together the most sophisticated and stylish ensemble. They truly are a dashing couple! In all of the excitement and adrenaline of the day, I distinctly remember the moment Mr. Bradley hugged me, kissed me, congratulated me, and flashed that million dollar smile. All the nerves and anxiety instantly melted and I felt not only happy but also very much honoured to have Mr. Bradley there to share in my special day. 

Mr. Bradley, you were like a father to me growing-up, a loving and caring father to my best friend and one of the most genuinely kind and loving men I have ever met. I am heart broken and full of sorrow that you left this world too early and I hope and pray that you are smiling in heaven with your family by your side and smiling down on us as well.  You are missed, loved and always in our hearts.

Our recent memories of my cousin Steve, are singing and playing Beatles tunes, some rock on guitar and piano with other family members. He was happy to spend some time with us and was great fun to be with.

Steve, we will miss and always remember your beautiful smile. You would always have a joke to tell us and you would always play your guitar for us. You would usually play a Beatles song and we would sing with you. You adored your family and loved life!! Your an awesome man. We will miss you dearly...love you so much!!!

Know that I am thinking of his loving family. I share in your grief and know that the amazing memories of joy and happiness will, in time, start to give replace and repair sadness. Steve was such a light of caring and kindness and he will be missed by all who he knew. Such a special uncle to me personally and such a caring, gentle man. Many fond memories. Like sitting in his white van as a kid eating subway sandwiches and listening to rock and roll. He was 'cool' to be around and he spent time with us as kids, making childhood more memorable and fun. As an adult he always said kind, supportive words. May he be in peace forever.

Steve, you will be missed by all the people who you touched in this life. All the memories you helped to create with family and friends will be cherished forever. We know you were welcomed by your parents John & Kathleen and now look down from the beautiful heavens.
