Wai Jan Tse

Wai-Jan Tse, 75, beloved mother to Samson Chan & Sarah Chan, Ivy Chan & Wing Or, Anita Chan & William Wang, Vivian Chan & Michael Ng, Andy Chan & Joann Lo, Samuel Chan & Glorious Chan, and loving grandmother to Jason Chan, Janice Chan, Jacklyn Chan, Kenneth Or, Addison Or, Kelvin Ng, Christie Ng, Felix Chan, Caspian Chan, Ryan Chan, Ginny Chan, Jayden Chan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of May 18, 2012 in her home in Markham.

She was born on Oct 1, 1936, in Chaoyang City in the Guangdong Province of China. She moved to Hong Kong when she was 6 and married her husband Lam-Kam Chan at the age of 18. In July 1990, her and her family immigrated to Canada and settled down in Toronto. After over 40 years of wonderful marriage, her husband passed away in January 1999. She spent her life surrounded by family and friends and was well-known for her compassion and unconditional love for all.

The loss of our dear mother and grandmother has deeply affected all of our lives, but she will be in our hearts forever.

The funeral service will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Homes-Vaughan Chapel (8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill ON) from 6-9 pm on Monday May 28 and from 9-11am on Tuesday May 29. The burial service will be held at the Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (1757 Church St. N, Ajax) from 1-2 pm on Tuesday May 29.
