Loving husband of Gisela for 59 years. He leaves behind two children, Lynda and Alan (Vanessa). Adoring Granddad to Brianna and Russell.
Born in Sheffield, England, Bill served in the British Occupation Troops after World War II. He was stationed in Germany where he met his wife, Gisela. They moved to Canada in 1964 and eventually settled in Thornhill. An avid gardener, Bill won many awards at the Thornhill Horticultural Society.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, from 6 to 8pm at R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street at Goulding south of Steeles). Service will be on Wednesday, October 14 at 11am at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, followed by interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
