Peacefully, with his family by his side, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at York Central Hospital in his 84th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Ada (Honey). Beloved father of Stephen and his wife Sharon, Diane and her husband Roy Corbin, Shirley and her husband Guy Tremblay, Wendy and her husband Lloyd Corbin, and Deborah and her husband Bernie Corbin. Cherished grandpa (Papa) of eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by June Faux, his devoted companion, and her son Russell Faux and his family. Survived by his sister Evelyn Spence and her family. William is remembered as a Veteran of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada of WWII. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
