William Nin Hoy

William will always be remembered fondly as "Bill", "Dad", "Granddad" and "Uncle Bill". Bill loved his family and will be dearly missed by his wife May, his daughter Suzanne, his son Gordon, his daughter-in-law Linda and his grandchildren Bryan, Geoffrey and Alexandra. Bill immigrated to Canada in 1949 at the age of 19 and firmly believed that he could make a better life for himself and his family through hard work and smart business decisions. Following his beliefs, Bill became the proud owner and operator of Cross Cleaner from 1957 - 1969. After selling Cross Cleaner, Bill became a Real Estate Agent and founded Phoenix Real Estate in 1984. Bill inspired and was deeply loved by those who knew him and he will be fondly remembered for his generosity, hearty laugh and wanderlust. He will be sorely missed. Friends may call on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday December 28, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at R.S. Kane Chapel. Interment to follow at York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
