Dear Ann and family,

We are saddened to hear of Bill's passing and wish you all smiles as you think of the many good times with him.  We have wonderful memories of Bill on the golf course, at dinner parties and just visiting.  Bob Sr. and Bill are liable to tee up for a perfect round of golf now that they can play together again.

Thank you Bill for making contact with me when you arrived back in the Region with great plans and pursuits. I - like Bill Baker, was one of your touch points to make the connections. You were a great networker, communicator and when those plans were put on hold so you could be present and active in the support of your wife Ann - I knew you to be a loving and devoted husband and family man. You were always so gracious and filled with gratitude when we spoke.  I am glad that we had the short time together and that you gifted me a copy of your book and offered assistance as I work on my recently departed fathers memoirs... and thanks also for your inscription with your personal declaration that I am "the best Government supporter in the world!" You lived large and impacted those around you more than you know... you will be greatly missed.  My heartfelt condolences to the family and Ann. I am sorry we did not have more time.

We were very saddened to hear of Bill's passing.  We were only neighbors for a short time but Bill's witty and continuously joyful personally will be greatly missed.  It is easy to see why he left a lasting impression on so many.

To the Meloche Family. It came as a great shock this morning to see of Bill's passing. I haven't seen Bill since his brother Dick's passing but recently saw of his sister's passing and the obit had him in the Amherstburg area. Have a lot of great memories from visiting Toronto in the 60's and 70's and our escapades with Bill and the gang at the Last Chance Saloon in the old Ports Of Call on Yonge and Summerhill. Remember Bill and Angies wedding at the Park Plaza on the night of the first game of the Summit series in 72 with Canada and Russia. Everyone including Bill kept sneaking into the bar for updates on the game but by the 2nd period it was just dancing and partying and drowning our Canadian sorrows. It was the only night Mary Ann said that she saw a room spin when she laided down. Our trips to Stratford were also some memorable times. An afternoon of Sun, Beer and Wine, Picnic and Canoe race only to struggle not to fall asleep and snore during the play. Our wives and girlfriends nudging us to stay awake and not embarrass them. I will always see Bill getting into a sprinters stance next to a Superbee with a hemi at a light in London after a stag and nodding to the driver to go at the light. The guy sat there with his mouth open not knowing what to do. Only Bill could pull that off. Please accept our condolences in Bill's passing. He will be remembered by all those who passed thru his life. RIP Bill. Hope you didn't suffer too much. Mary Ann and Gary Fathers.

I've been reading the comments on the online guest book with a smile on my face and contentment in my heart because Bill has made lasting and memorable impressions in so many people's lives. 

I particularly liked Larry Heinzman's comments because it brought the Bill I knew to life.

I also had to chuckle to myself as I thought, I would not want to be the person arranging this Memorial Service because Bill will be looking over their shoulder every second to make sure it's done just right.

I know that Don Bellehumeur and Mike Meloche, will do justice to Bill's full and well lived life with their eulogies today.

I have been mourning Bill since I learned of his grave illness but his positive attitude made me try my best to be hopeful for him.

I will honor his life by leading mine to the fullest and the best I can. 

Bill, I am with our family and friends in thought today.

Yes, Bill, you'll be missed by the lot of us!

I am very sad to hear of Bill's illness and passing. I have very fond memories of Bill's caring, kindness, generosity and fun at Christmas, birthdays and other family celebrations. My mom and dad, Maria and Josef Dietrich were very proud and fond of Bill and my son, Sean and daughter, Samantha loved "uncle Bill" with his many funny faces. I will always remember the fun weekends we spent at Stratford with Bill and Angie and their friends. Bill, may you rest in peace. You will be remembered always.

Bill; a new associate of 1 &1/2 years and eventual friend met each other in a common pursuit. That of making a difference in the lives & health of others. I'll miss my new buddy and hope the direction of his life is continued in the efforts of those he loved and affected so deeply. He was a man of integrity & care. I miss him and "as we ended all our conversations lately"  I love you and will see you on the next page!!

Rest in peace Uncle Bill!  You will always be my hero!

Carol and I met working for Bill (and Meloche Communications) on a show in Hawaii. For a decade, we all became great friends, travelled the world, and laughed hysterically more times than we can count. It was the best time of our lives, and Bill was the grand master of it all. It's hard in our business for people to all stay together for long; we were fortunate to have had that amazing ten years. Bill was one of a kind. Somewhere, he is making them laugh and motivating people to do more and be better.

Rest in peace, uncle Bill.  Strength and love to his sisters, my aunts, and all who loved him.

Uncle Bill, you have taught me so much about how to enjoy life. You have always taken such great care of my family and I and for that I will be forever grateful. It's clear to see that you've had a big impact on many lives and you should be so proud of all that you've accomplished. Curtis and I feel truly blessed to have had you in our lives.

Words cannot express how sad we feel losing you Bill. Our lives as we know it is gone with you.We love you .

Already missing your Vaudeville humor, keen sense of character and tenacity to be able to meet with anyone in the world you chose to meet with in "creating groundbreaking deals." Bill Meloche became a recent friend and colleague working on some projects when he reentered my life moving back to the Windsor areas in December 2011. Vaguely acquainted with Bill through my kindergarten and best friend Richard Meloche (Bill's Nephew) back in the mid 80's while at Bulova, I was immediately impressed with his savvy business dealings. Life moves on and fast forward to 2011, I'm in Harrow meeting with one of my Constituents (I'm now a Municipal Councillor also in Communications and Public Affairs) about a development opportunity. The Constituent mentions, he just met a most intriguing individual who was moving to the area; Bill Meloche from the US. Long and short of the story, sure enough its the individual I was so impressed with when I was a young 'budding' executive. We get reacquainted meeting in Kingsville at the Kings Inn. Immediately Bill and I begin a 'groundbreaking relationship.' The next 6 month I introduce Bill to the who's-who in the region. I need not tell you the rest of story... Bill gets involved in setting up major speaking engagements and 'groundbreaking deals' in the health research sector. William James (Bill) Meloche has left too soon! But he has left me with a lasting memory and friendship in our short reacquaintence. Thank you Bill; will always remember to "think large" and "settle for big"...

To my little brother Bill.
I remember the day my brother was born.  I was so un happy because he was going to get all the attention instead of me.  After the initial shock I loved him,  my little brother.  We had some special times and he was always there for me.  He will always be in my heart.  God bless you Bill.

A couple years ago, we're on the patio of a San Antonio bistro, a day of intense meetings behind us. Tour boats drift by on the River Walk Canal. It's hot and we're far from home. Bill tries recruiting the waitress for a new venture, a family-style franchise: "Bill's Bean & Wienery". Hard to say that after a second margarita. She can't stop laughing. The guys at the next table tune in, like they're ready to invest. Can't believe anybody is buying this, but we're all having a fine afternoon. 

Bill spent his life creating moments of possibility, some wonderfully effective, some far-fetched or even silly, many of them fun. I've known him for over 40 years and will miss him for a long, long time.

Valderi, Valdera . . . can you picture Uncle Bill trudging through the bush with my youngest child, one year old Faye, on his shoulders and singing this song—Valderie, Valdera!
Uncle Bill and Aunt Angie came up to Minesing for a visit and to see the home that my husband and I were building.  I was so extremely embarrassed for such a man of accomplishment to be sharing a home cooked meal in my dining room, at a picnic table with plywood floors, no cupboards or inside doors, and no fancy furnishings.  We surly gave the term “rustic” a whole new meaning—hey, this was a step up from living in the tents.
Poor Aunt Angie, what a great sport when one year old Faye walked right through the blanket make-shift bathroom door, asking “you doing.”  We all had a great time after that.  Laughter and a relaxed atmosphere took hold.  A bush walk was mentioned and Uncle Bill was all for it.  Picture him in dress shoes and business attire, smiling, laughing, and enjoying every moment.  The next thing I know, up goes Faye on Uncle Bill shoulders, and out loud and strong he starts singing . . . Valderie, Valdera!  
That was Uncle Bill—he could always amaze you!
Memories made and memories shared...Love you Uncle Bill!
