Peacefully, surrounded by his lovng family, in Bracebridge, on Friday February 15th, 2008, in his 74th year. Beloved husband and soul mate of Naomi (nee Griffiths) for more than 45 years. Cherished father of Angelina Stephens, Shannon and Grady Raymer, Ellen and Michael Gowland. Adored Grandpa to Meagan and Brandon Stephens, Payton and Ava Raymer and darling Papa to William Gowland. Dear son of the late Cosy and Glen Stephens, son-in-law of Will and the late P.G. (Bill) Griffiths, brother of Audrey and Christie Hall. A treasured brother-in-law, uncle, "Good Buddy" and friend to many. Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses at the Critical Care Unit of the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, February 19th, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday February 20th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Chapel on Thursday February 21st, 2008 at 11 o'clock. Cremation. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of your choice in Bill's name.
