Armando Peter Guerrero

Armando Peter Guerrero, 68, passed away at his home in Westminster, Colorado, on July 20, 2024. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his strength and courage in facing life challenges with fortitude and grace. Mando’s determination and love for his family were with him until the end.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, best friend, and sidekick Stephanie Guerrero (Castillo), his three children, Robert Guerrero (Tawnya), Arman Guerrero, and Lily-Ann Guerrero, his grandchildren Illianna Guerrero, and Jackson Lehtinen, his cherished sister Linde Mendivil, brother in-law Ray, their children Ray, Joseph, and Kaylynn, and extended family.

Armando was born June 12, 1956 and grew up in Los Angeles California. From a young age, Mando took the role of protector to those he loved. Losing his mom at a young age, provided him with the ability to be supported by extended family and experience life on his terms. Mando was infamously full of mischief, street smarts, bravery, and compassion. In 1973, he returned to California and was introduced to the love of his life, through their parents’ encouragement. In 1986, they moved their young family to Colorado, where they created a life that made him extraordinarily proud.

Mando was hard working, took pride in his profession and his fingerprints are visible across the city of Denver. He loved his family with extreme ferocity and beamed with pride for them. He loved music, sports, grilling, and telling stories. His sharp humor, big heart, and role of protector have been imprinted on all of those who love him. His family will carry him in their hearts and cherish the legacy he leaves behind. In honor of Armando’s wishes, there are no planned services. Instead, please give those you love a “tight” hug, keep his family in your prayers, and look out (or take care) for those around you.
