of
Barbara Ann Williams.
Born the youngest of eight children on January 31, 1932 to Henry and Margaret Freese in the west central Wyoming town of Lander. Barbara spent her early childhood years on a ranch just outside of town.
After graduating from high school in Lander, she briefly attended the University of Wyoming before meeting and marrying the love of her life, and true soul mate, Roy Williams from Ramona Oklahoma, who was working in Lander for Phillips Petroleum as a drilling rig crew chief.
Shortly after being wed, they relocated to west Texas where they spent the next ten years traveling throughout west Texas following the oil boom. During that time they had four children, David, currently residing in Tucson, AZ., Michael, of Parker, CO., Randall, of Watkins, CO., and Judith Hoffman, who lives in Westminster, CO.
After briefly returning to Wyoming, Roy and Barbara settled in Westminster, CO in order to provide a more stable environment to raise their children, where they lived out the rest of their lives. Once Barbara’s children were in school, in addition to being a caring and devoted housewife, and mother, she began a career as a school secretary at Sherrelwood Elementary School in Thornton, CO.
Once all of her children were grown, she turned to her true passion as a floral designer. With her best friend, Rosie Augustad, they started Lucky Charms and produced stunning floral arrangements until retiring.
After retirement, and the death of her beloved husband, her life became her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her legacy is the love and devotion she gave daily to her family. She will be remembered as the most generous, energetic and caring person by all of her family as well as everyone who shared her life.
Her everlasting gift is the love and fellowship she instilled in all of her family who, because of the example she set, will remain close and dedicated to each other for generations.
Barbara is preceded in death by her eternal partner Roy, her siblings, Francis Freese, of Lander, WY., Pat Preston, of Blackfoot, ID., Alice Moran, of Pocatello, ID., James Freese of Anaheim, CA., and Maxine Cullen, of New Orleans, LA.
She is survived by a sister, Eileen Milburn, of Lander, WY., and a brother, Paul Freese of Lander, WY., four children, eleven grand children and 14 great grand children.
Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
