Brian Christopher Young

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER YOUNG was born February 6, 1973 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, the son of Stephen C. Young and Kathryn Cardillo (Young) (Thomsen). He was raised and received his education in Denver, Colorado, having been a graduate of the Horizon High School Class of 1991. Upon his high school graduation he attended the University of Northern Colorado, having an associate arts degree in business.

In 2002, following his graduation, Brian moved to Hillsboro, Oregon in search of new adventures. He worked as a Data Integrity Analyst Manager for IBM in Portland, Oregon from 2004 to the present.

Among his special interests, he enjoyed fishing, hiking and exploring, Brian also enjoyed photography and was instrumental in designing several album covers for musical groups. He liked to write poetry and stories, having been a romantic.

Survivors include his parents, Stephen Young and Kathryn Cardillo (Young) (Thomsen), of McCook, Nebraska and his sister, Jaime Drake, of Broomfield, Colorado, and his two nephews, Elijah Raine Drake and Riley Kalel Drake.

Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Sharon and Carl Filtor, of Wheatland, Wyoming; Vickie and Dieter Petz, of Omaha, Nebraska; Jerry and Linda Thomsen, of Omaha, Nebraska and Frank Thomsen, of McCook, Nebraska.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, 10:00 am at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado.
