Cruz was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eddie; and his sisters, Sadie, Francis, and Cathy.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Roberta; his children, Michael and Christa; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. His love for his family and the life he built with them will be remembered always.
Funeral services will be held on April 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
A committal service will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.
A reception will be held afterward at VFW Post 9644, 2680 W Hampden Ave, Sheridan, CO 80110, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
