Cydney Lynn Perrone

Cydney entered our world on April 22nd, 1950 in Peoria, Illinois to Allene and Lloyd Bacon and was the youngest of 3 daughters. As a young woman, Cyd and her close friend decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia and it was there that she met the love of her life, Kenneth (Ken) Perrone. The young couple was soon married and decided to start their new life together in Fredrick, Maryland. Her sons, Nicholas (Nick) and Nathan (Nate), joined the family and few years later, in 1986, they made their final move to Westminster, Colorado. In January of 2023, Cyd became a grandmother to Vincent (Vinny) Perrone, Son of Nate and Denise. Vinny was the light of her life.

During her working years, her specialty was in Human Resources and she worked for many years as the Benefits Administrator at the University Corporation of Atmospheric Research, a role that she truly loved, and from which she retired in 2015. In their retirement Cyd and Ken enjoyed their time together, golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family, and did so all the way up until her leukemia diagnosis in 2025.

She loved to play golf and cherished her golf crew, enjoyed long talks with her sister, silly video chats with her grandson, getting lost in a good book, and relaxing and listening to some good tunes.

Even when the days were darkest, she shined like a diamond. She passed on lasting knowledge and values and will be remembered for her steady and even temper, never wavering or losing her cool. Her kindness and generosity were beyond measure. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was awesome and taken far too soon.

Cyd is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ken Perrone; Her sons, Nick Perrone and Nate (Denise) Perrone; Grandson Vinnie Perrone; Sister Patsy (Larry) Harton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
