Dalen Robert Smith

SMITH, Dalen Robert, 48, of Thornton, CO, passed away peacefully at home; surrounded by those he loved. Dalen was an amazing man with an amazing personality. He was a Carpenter, and was employed by Systems Now, until his diagnosis in July 2018. He was a member of Flatirons Community Church, graduated from Thornton High School and Front Range Community College, loved wood working, bowling and exploring new things with his wife Stacie, building Lego’s with his dad and daughter, was a great cook and made the best green chili, he loved taffy, sci fi movies, Christmas and Hallmark Christmas movies, as well as the Denver Bronco’s; his favorite part of the game was watching the cheerleaders!

Dalen’s love for his family was unmatched; he proudly watched his daughters’ orchestra concerts, his son becoming a trauma nurse and his daughter becoming a mother and starting a family. Then there was the love of his life Stacie. Dalen and Stacie met and it was love at first sight. After spending 4 years side by side, through thick and thin; they were married December 9, 2018 and made their home in Thornton, CO.

Dalen is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Thelma & Raymond Timmons, paternal grandparents James “Jim” & Anna Mae Smith, granddaughter Charlic Nicole McCaslin and is survived by his wife Stacie, sons Chance (Dan) Smith or Oregan, Chris Tucker of Kansas, Zach Tucker of Kansas, daughters Emma Smith (of the home) of Colorado, Tiffany (Jared) Smith-Broderick of Colorado, Hannah Griffin of Colorado, Nicole (Tate) McCaslin of Kansas Megan (Justin) Cates of Kansas, parents Robert “Bob” & Mary Elaine Smith of Colorado, brother James “Monty” (Nancy) McLachlan of Georgia, sisters Tina (Mike) Riendeau of Colorado, Sherie (DaVane) Willard of North Carolina, grandchildren Fallen Cates of Kansas, Aspen Cates of Kansas, Noah Randolph of Kansas, Xaibian Smith of Colorado, Zariah Broderick of Colorado and several nieces and nephews.
