Great manager and friend teated everyone well and knew his job well  had a good sense of humor and knew his job well helped me through hard times god bless him

I met this amazing man 20 years ago.
Dave was the kind of friend that always had you back.  One time my car broke down and left me stranded.  Dave came to the rescue and gave my car a jump he then followed me to the auto parts store, goes in and tells the clerk what type of battery was needed.  His kindness does not stop there he then proceeds to purchase the battery.  I told him you don't have to buy my battery he said you don't know what your friendship means to me let me do this for you.  He truly was amazing man.
Dave was kindhearted, compassionate, caring, and giving. Always going the extra mile.
He truly was a Special friend. Rest in Peace. You will be missed.

The room was filled with all the guys he worked with through the years at Adams. 

We used to race each other to the roach coach for the dreamcicle cake so there had to be a dreamcicle cake at his retirement.

My Uncle Dave was one of my most favorite people in my life. He took me to my 1st demolition derby, my 1st pig roast, my 1st Bronco game, and my 1st bar. Lol
He always knew the best “hole in the wall” places to eat, he was a great cook, he loved great music and fast cars.
He was always there for me. He was there for me during a low time in my life and he jumped on a plane and flew to California and helped me drive a run down Camaro back to Colorado.
He had the greatest laugh, he was kind, he was funny and he was loved by so many people. 
Rest in peace Uncle Dave. I will see you again one day.

What a fun night. I love and miss you so much Uncle Dave.

Well our “0ld West “ hideout was transformed into a “Shopping Center”, that is what they called them back in the day . There was a Woolsworth , shoe store , barber, drugstore , Miller’s grocery and other shops . Best of all there was a creamery , an ice cream store .
My mother would gather us together and we would walk just up to the corner of our street, cross the road and we were there . Most trips were to grocery store  to buy something to make for dinner . Many times we would stop for ice cream . Then head back home . Everyone in the neighborhood walked back then . Sometimes two of us older kids would be sent and Dave would beg to tag along . Those trips took a little longer. Why yes, we had to stop by Woolworths to check out trinkets and all kinds of stuff . We would buy a couple pieces of penny candy and head to the grocery store and head home.
No we would skip home . I was teaching him how to skip because it was part of his physical therapy. He walked on his toes . The doctors finally decided to send him to therapy to stretch the muscles in the back of his legs . He had to wear leg braces at night too . He never complained ever and eventually he could walk flatfooted . Couldn’t slow that boy down …..to be continued…

Hanging in Lochbuie. Brett & Wysteria’s.

Great times in Lochbuie. I think it was one of those annual chili cook offs.

My uncle Dave sent this picture to me and asked if I knew who he was holding….I told him “of course I do.. it’s meeeee” his response was “yeah you were cute and then you turned into THE BRAT” I miss you so much. 

Let me take you a little bit further down the road . Our parent moved the family out to a new housing development off of 88th Ave and Washington , Thornton, Co. We settled in . There were other kids to play with. With all the construction going on in there were mounds of dirt, huge rocks , chucks of concrete . It was the perfect setting  to hone our Rory Roger’s and Gene Autry skills . They were our TV heroes. We headed out every morning for a new adventure. Crawling up this mounds of dirt, squeezing between rocks , rolling down the hill , it was perfect . Gosh , if we had cell phone back then we could have filmed our adventures and put them on U-Tube …someone could have become star . To be continued…..

Dave,  I’m going to miss talking on the phone , you funny text messages, hilarious pics and post .
I was 6 yrs old when you were born I remember those days like yesterday . You were such joy . I still can see you running, jumping , playing hide and seek , and all the childhood games we played. You have left an emptiness in my heart but over the last few days I’ve been putting all the the memories. 
Your smile and laughter…. I know anyone reading this will agree , it was infectious. Today I’m remembering those earl years . When you were and infant you had problems with you digestion. I think all you ate was smashed bananas and formula. You never complained. I can see you sitting in you high chair , looking adorable with blonde hair the biggest blue eyes looking at me and eating bananas with that SMILE . …. To be continued….
