Our precious David B. Vigil, 81, husband of Helen, ascended into heaven, November 23, 2012. He was born in Sarcillo, Colorado, October 31, 1931. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School, where he played football. He then attended Trinidad Junior College. He later graduated from Adam State College and ultimately received a double Master of Education degree from the University of Denver.
He was married to Helen for 59 years. He worked at Westin Elementary School as a teacher, master scout, and coach. He went on to be a principal at Sarcillo Elementary School. He was employed for the Denver Public Schools for over 35 years. He was a teacher, coach, and counselor and inspired many students to achieve their dreams. He also worked for the City and County for many years.
He was survived by his wife Helen, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held from 5:00-6:00, followed by the rosary at All Saints Church, 2559 South Federal Blvd. in Denver. Mass will be held Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
