

Debbie lived in several cities in California: Mountain View, Campbell and San Jose. While living in California she worked at Stanford University Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Later she moved to Thornton, Colorado.
Deborah loved fishing, camping, the ocean, family gatherings, parties, Elvis Presley, Denver Broncos,
cooking, shopping, reading, and watching her favorite soap operas. In addition to all of that, she loved watching Nascar; her favorite driver was Martin Truex, Jr.
She was very family oriented woman. FAMILY was important to her and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She never got the chance to meet every grandchild but longed to do so. Deborah also, loved all of her nieces and nephews very much, and kept in touch with her many cousins.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Jaime Heifner and son in-law, Brad Heifner; nine grandchildren: Celeste, Megan, Sabrina, Sylecia, Kayla, Richie, Abbie, Mason and Johnny; eleven great-grandchildren: Payton, Konnor, Baylee, Donald Jr, Tiiler, Truyn, Lucille, Leo, Rose, Kenny, and Richard Jr.; in addition she leaves to cherish her memory two siblings: Roxanne Dodson and Jimmy Merrill; her stepmother- Val Merrill; five nephews: Troy, Darren, Jason, Dustin and Lee Jr.; and two nieces: Amanda and Cortney.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth R. Borden, her parents: Harry Merrill and Bernadette Merrill; three sisters: Judith Franklin, Denise Triplett, Michelle Merrill and a nephew, Michael Gable.
She will be deeply missed.
A memorial service for Debbie will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
