Edward E. Casso

Edward E. Casso, 70, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away at home on March 4, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 19, 1951, in Lamar, Colorado, the son of Benito and Cecilia Ramirez.

Edward graduated from Merritt Hutton High School, class of 1969. Following graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Nora Romero. They celebrated 51 years of marriage in June.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Gary Casso and Benny Ray Ramirez. Surviving in addition to his wife, Nora (Romero) Casso, are their sons, Edward and his wife Sonia of Brighton; Daniel and his husband Todd of Commerce City; two grandchildren, Cecelia Casso and Aristotle Casso; four sisters, Mary Ellen and her husband Fred Pollack of Brighton; Alda Ramirez of Brighton; Ramona Martinez and her husband Frank Duran of Denver; Priscilla Duran of Arvada; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 11am until Mass. Mass of Christian Burial for Edward will be held 12 noon on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton. A graveside service will follow from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, followed by a reception at Olinger Highland in Honor West.
