Eleanor Mary Creadon

Eleanor Mary (Zak) Creadon age 93 was born Nov 19th, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. She passed on May 24th 2020 in Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, daughter Frances and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her 4 children, Jeffrey (Diana) Creadon, Alice (Steve) Rotvold, Geralyn (Doug) Swindell, and Roger Creadon; her 6 grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Bourne, Nathaniel (Toom) Rotvold, Matthew (Kate) Rotvold, Alexander Swindell, Avery Swindell and Collin Swindell; one great grandson Dexter Bourne and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church.

Eleanor met her husband Frank A. Creadon in Cleveland Ohio, at Anders Cafeteria where they both worked. They married in 1948 and moved to Colorado in 1960. Eleanor worked in the cafeteria in which her children attended school. All of the teachers knew her and would give her personal updates about her children, that was her way of keeping an eye on them. Frank and Eleanor owned a popcorn store in which the child labor laws were not enforced. She enjoyed all of the critters that her children brought home which included many reptiles. She was never without a dog by her side. She enjoyed her grandchildren, played cards with them and their parents and had no problems relieving any of them of their money. The occasional water fight with her grandchildren was not beyond her. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, slots, reading and crocheting. She loved taunting her nieces and nephews about how great the Broncos and Rockies were. Eleanor always put her family first. She spent 30 years of her life taking care of her disabled son, Roger. She had a great spirit and always had a positive outlook. Eleanor was forever encouraging and supportive of her children and grandchildren to be the best they could be.

Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church June 19th at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery immediately following. Due to the virus concerns a reception at the church will not be held. A BBQ in memory of Eleanor will be held later this summer. Please contact Jeff, Geralyn or Alice for details.
