Emil Jacob Augustine, Jr. went to be with his Lord on August 31, 2018 in Broomfield. Emil was born on November 11, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois to Emil Sr. and Martha (Klossek) Augustine. He joined the Army in 1945 and was immediately sent to Japan. He was a sharp shooter and Staff Sergeant earning the Expert Infantryman's Badge. He married Ruth G. Kovalik on April 4, 1948. Emil worked for the United States Postal Service for 18 years and was a faithful member of Northglenn Christian Church. Emil is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Augustine; children Jeanne Handwerk, Judy Jorden and Chris Augustine; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Highland Trail Assisted Living, 5085 W 136th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80023 on September 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
