

Gaye Maxine Andersen, 89, of Westminster, Colorado, peacefully passed away on June 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born Gay Maxine Schwaller in St. Louis, Missouri, she lived as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, dedicating her life to faith, service, and love for her family.
Gaye was married for over 50 years to Richard Charles Andersen, who preceded her in death in August 2024. Together, they built a loving family and shared a deep commitment to their faith and community.
She is survived by her children Eric and his wife Noemi Ross, Christine and her husband Bud Cavanna, and Mia and her husband Paul Garneau. She was preceded in death by her daughter Valori Merrell. Gaye's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Adam and his wife Gina Ross, Jason and his wife Susan Ross, and Sara Ross; Daniel Cousins; Gabrielle Perez;
and Genevieve and her husband Gabriel Gragg. She was blessed with great-grandchildren Lila Cousins, and James, Caroline, and Audrey Ross. She is also survived by her dear cousins Sarah Clausen and Sharon Payne, as well as countless close friends who were like family to
her.
A woman of unwavering faith, Gaye was a longtime member of Crossroads Church, where the community and pastoral team provided spiritual guidance and stability throughout her life. She joyfully expressed her spiritual gifts through leading Bible studies and was deeply involved in her beloved ladies prayer group. Her lifelong commitment to serving others was exemplified in her work with two organizations. The first was Champa House, where she taught Bible studies and supported women who had experienced domestic violence. The second was Colorado Homeless Families, now known as Beyond Home, where as a founding board member she dedicated over 20 years to the organization, making a lasting impact on countless lives.
Gaye will be remembered as a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose life exemplified Christian love and service to others.
A celebration of life will be held at Crossroads Community Center, 10451 Huron Street, Northglenn, Colorado, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow.
