Geraldine Nelson Tracy passed quietly in her sleep on the morning on August 8, 2021, at the age of 93, into a beautiful heavenly reunion with her husband, parents, and siblings. Born in Bountiful, Utah, on December 22, 1927, to James Everett Nelson and Myrtle Willey, she was the youngest of six children.
The pride and joy of her life was that she sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the age of 16. After two years she left to pursue a music career in New York City. Her favorite thing in life was Music and the Spoken Word, and she watched it faithfully every Sunday morning until she was no longer able to do so.
Gerry married Lyle Arthur Tracy on June 21, 1962. They had no children, but she loved her dogs through-out her life and took great pride in her St. Bernard show dogs.
Gerry is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, her parents, J. Everett and Myrtle Nelson and her siblings: Kathleen Nelson Thornton, June Nelson Rushforth, Byron Nelson, Margaret Nelson Sorensen, and Anna Elaine Nelson Burton.
She will be cremated and interred together with her husband at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
